Feeling isolated and frightened, Jim and René began documenting their journey as a means of coping. That marked the inception of Tripawds.com.
When Jerry was given only a few months to live, his owners made the decision to sell their home, their business, and all their possessions to make the most of their time together traveling across the country in an RV. Jerry defied expectations, living for another two years, and their adventurous road trip became the book Be More Dog.
During their travels, Jim consistently enhanced Tripawds, contributing to its growth into the community it has become today. The Tripawds multisite network now features over 2,100 blogs about three-legged dogs and cats, alongside numerous resources to assist individuals dealing with limb cancer diagnoses or amputations in their pets.
