Small Indexing mistake help

Hi everyone. I have a small issue, but wondering if people can give me some advice please?

I found out how to ping petition indicator of my site today, so I did it to update from an addition from yesterday.

I have since added some more content and re-structured my site a little today.

The search console states that it takes> 2 to index, so, was the premature indexing before adding new content a stupid oversight that requires me to reindex again now, or should the new content/ structure be added when google gets round to the crawl anyway?
