Long-term strategy question

Hi,

So I’ve registered 2 domain names: A and B.

A, by its very name, is quite certain to generate a fair amount of traffic in the long run. Yet it* might* also be claimed legally by a company when/ if it becomes too popular.

B is safe name.

Strategically, if I redirect all trafic from A to B, and if A is claimed and sold, will B still benefits from the previous traffic and popularity?
