Forminator Enhances Payment Features with Improved Stripe Integration

Regarding payment options on your site, one thing is certain:

More methods for customers to pay you is always advantageous. 💵🤑

To facilitate this, we are thrilled to announce a significant update to our Stripe integration, providing your customers with enhanced flexibility and ease during payment processing.

Now, in addition to merely accepting credit and debit cards, you can now welcome over 40 payment options including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, and Klarna. This expansion creates greater opportunities and aids in boosting your conversion rates irrespective of what you have to offer.

Dynamic Payment Options: Tailored to Customer’s Location & Currency

The most exciting aspect of this new addition is that your customers will no longer have to sift through irrelevant options.

Instead, the payment methods presented on the form will be dynamically customized based on their geographical location and currency.

Payment methods can be effortlessly activated or deactivated, and you can set specific conditions for when certain methods will appear, directly from your Stripe dashboard.

Steps to Migrate

Transitioning from the old Stripe Integration to the new OCS Payment Element is quite straightforward. Follow these steps:

  1. Upgrade to the latest version of Forminator
  2. A banner will appear notifying you about all your published forms utilizing the previous Stripe element
  3. Hit the pencil icon next to each form to make edits
  4. Click the “Migrate to New Stripe Field” button. All existing card element data will transition to the new Payment Element.
  5. Now you can check your form on the front end of your site. If satisfied, you may remove the legacy card element.

And that’s it! It really is that simple. ✨

Key Points to Consider

  • Not all payment options are currently supported. We’re actively working on expanding! Presently, Forminator supports only payment methods that offer immediate confirmation, but we plan to broaden our support for additional methods in later updates.
  • Some payment methods necessitate domain verification. If you’re considering using Apple Pay or Google Pay, ensure your domain is verified within the Stripe Dashboard.
  • We strongly recommend migrating to the new Payment Element at your earliest convenience. While it remains operational now, Stripe may begin imposing additional charges on sites utilizing it, along with the use of a Secret API Key instead of a Restricted API Key.

These recent updates have made accepting payments through your Forminator forms easier than ever. So, upgrade and migrate now to enjoy the full advantages of this new Stripe integration.
