I’ve rebranded my resteraunt, altered the name and made a new website.
My old website has for 5 years forced SSL( it redirected to https :/ /).
I’ve setup a 301 redirect for my old domain to my new one. Since this redirect is provided by the registrar it merely redirects http :// traffic to the new site, https :// requests generate an error.
Is this OK? Will Google understand what is going on here? I’m losing traffic right now since the old site only appears with https :// on Google. Should I setup the old website again so I can redirect both https and http or is this OK?
