Forminator’s Preset and Cloud Templates
With Forminator v. 1.32 and beyond, you can effortlessly create forms for diverse purposes utilizing 27 pre-built templates (additional templates are on the way!).
You can also develop custom form templates, save them in the cloud, and reuse them on any site you manage via the Hub.
The Template Gallery
To explore Forminator’s templates, click on the new Templates submenu within the plugin’s interface.
This will take you to the Templates section, where you can preview all templates, create new forms using any selected template, and create, save, and manage your own custom Cloud templates.
Alongside previewing and selecting templates, you can utilize the section’s tabs, search, and filter functions to rapidly find a form template and accelerate the form creation process.
The Templates section is categorized into two primary sections:
- Preset Templates: Here you’ll discover a well-organized assortment of pre-made templates developed by WPMU DEV’s Forminator team. You can filter templates by clicking on any Category name or explore the entire collection. Plus, the intelligent Search field enables you to quickly locate templates.
- Cloud Templates: This area showcases all custom templates you’ve designed from forms across all sites linked to your Hub. These templates can be employed to construct forms on the same site or any other site associated with your Hub.
The following essential templates are provided for both Forminator free and Forminator Pro plugin versions:
- Blank – Start with this template to build a form from the ground up without any pre-defined fields.
- Contact Form – Use this template to gather user details such as name, email, subject, and message.
- Quote Request – Customers can utilize a form made with this template to request quotes on products or services.
- Newsletter Signup – Users can sign up for newsletters through a form created with this template.
- Registration – Utilize this adaptable template to create registration forms suitable for events, services, or websites.
- Login – This template helps create a standard login form for returning users, including fields for username or email and password, along with links for account recovery or registration.
- Create Post – Use this template to easily develop frontend forms tailored for submissions of user-generated content, featuring fields for title, content, and attachments.

Creating A Form Using a Template
For demonstration, let’s create a Quote Request form.
Navigate to Forminator’s Templates section and find the Quote Request template in the Preset Templates tab.
Hovering over the template item presents options to preview the template or generate a form using the template.
Hover over the template to preview or create a form.
If you opt for previewing the template, a full-sized view will load in your web browser, enabling you to see exactly how your form will appear.
Click on the Create Form button to generate your form.
This action will load the template into Forminator’s Edit Form interface.
Here, you can simply personalize the template’s fields, appearance, behavior, etc., similar to creating any other form.
Moreover, if you have Forminator Pro installed, integrating your quote request form (and all other forms) with Forminator’s PDF Addon and all the plugin’s other extensions and services is straightforward.

Once you’ve finished modifying your form, save it as a draft or publish it to generate the form’s shortcode.
After creating the form, it will be listed in your Forminator Forms section alongside all the forms you’ve crafted for that site. Visit here to modify the form, examine stats and submissions, etc.
Note: The Template gallery is also accessible by clicking on the +Create button in Forminator’s Forms menu or in the main dashboard of the plugin.
This will prompt a popup modal, enabling you to easily filter, search, and select from available presets or Cloud templates.

Saving Your Custom Templates
Forminator not only allows you to design forms using preset templates, but you can also create and save any Forminator form as a custom cloud template usable across all sites linked to your Hub.
To save a form as a cloud template, just click the Save to Cloud button at the top of the Edit Form interface.
You will have the option to save your form either as a new template or overwrite an existing one.
To save your form as a new template, select New Template, name your form, and click the Save Template button.
All saved templates will be displayed in Forminator’s Templates section under the Cloud Templates tab.
Using a custom template to create a form across all your various managed WordPress sites is a straightforward one-click option, serving as an alternative to exporting a form from one site and importing it to another through the Import/Export feature.

Additional New Features in Forminator
The introduction of Preset and Cloud Form Templates isn’t the only thrilling new capability of Forminator.
Let’s take a look at what more is new in Forminator since version 1.32.
Rating Field
You can now incorporate ratings in your forms through Forminator’s new Rating field.
This serves as a fantastic method for users to provide reviews and feedback on your site regarding your products, services, concepts, etc.
For instance, here’s a front-end form you could add to your site utilizing the Create Post template complemented by the Rating field, which enables a site owner to gather user-generated submissions.
The Rating field also offers numerous customization options available under the Settings tab.
This includes defining a ratings value (ranging from 0 – 50), and modifying the style and size of the icons, including various icons (stars, hearts, thumbs, or smiles), differing icon sizes (small, medium, and large), and whether or not to show a suffix alongside the ratings (e.g. 3/5).
Forminator’s Rating field boasts multiple customization settings.

Select Field – Enhanced Multi-Select Style
We’ve additionally upgraded Forminator’s Select field.
It now accommodates modern multi-selection styles and tags, offering a better experience for form users.
With the Modern style activated, users can conveniently add and remove selected items from a dropdown menu into forms presented as tags.
Selected items are displayed in forms as tags.
